Online video calls: by link, from a computer or a phone
Updated November 8, 2026
You can video call in a messenger, but for a call with colleagues, a client or family abroad a link is easier: it opens on any device, and the other side needs neither an account nor your phone number. Here is how to start a video call in Kurultai in a minute.
A video call by link in three steps
- Open kurultai.kg on a computer or phone and press “Meeting without an account”.
- Send the link on WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS or by email.
- The other person opens it, types a name, and you see each other.
Nobody has to sign up. Without an account a call lasts up to 30 minutes, with a free account up to 1 hour.
From a computer or laptop
On a computer the call runs in the browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. The browser asks once for the camera and microphone; press “Allow”. Without a camera you can talk by voice and share your screen.
From a phone
On a phone the link opens in the browser, and for frequent calls the Kurultai app for iPhone and Android is handier: it reminds you of scheduled meetings, tells you when someone is waiting in your meeting and opens invites in one tap. On a weak network choose “Data saver” or “Audio only” in the Layout menu.
Group video calls
Up to 100 people fit in one call: a family, a class, a team or a residents' meeting. Group calls have chat, screen sharing, raised hands and reactions.
